How it all began

Flamingo Restaurant was established in 1991, inspired by a moment of wonder. In the spring of that year, Apostolis, the founder, spotted a pair of rare and elegant birds in the Aliko region of Naxos. Captivated by their beauty, he discovered they were flamingos, a rare sight on the island at the time. Inspired by these extraordinary visitors, he decided to name the restaurant after them as it opened its doors to welcome its first guests.

Nestled in the most picturesque spot along Chora’s seaside walkway, with a panoramic view of the harbour and the endless blue of the Aegean, Flamingo Restaurant is more than a place to dine. It’s a celebration of Naxian culture and hospitality.
